The Northeast Georgia Regional Commission (NEGRC) in coordination with the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) has initiated the process of creating a Regional Transit Development Plan (TDP). The TDP will help identify transit needs and opportunities and inform future transit system investments across the 12 counties making up the Northeast Georgia Region. A regional TDP will focus on local transportations issues and concerns, consider regional needs and travel patterns, identify opportunities for the NEGRC to pool resources and staff, and identify implementable transit projects. .
A community survey was available from October 11 – November 10, 2023. The brief survey focused on identifying the region’s transit opportunities and concerns as well as opportunities for cross-county collaboration.
