The Northeast Georgia Region possesses an abundance of historic and natural places. These give it both distinction and an unsurpassed ‘livable’ quality. Many of these resources offer opportunities for further preservation and protection to ensure they continue to contribute to Northeast Georgia’s unique character and quality of life.
Northeast Georgia Historic Resource Inventory
The Northeast Georgia region is rich in historical resources, but the extent of historic districts and location of sites are often difficult to identify. NEGRC created an interactive online map to inform historic preservation efforts in the region by showing the location and extent of all locally and nationally recognized historic sites and districts.
