The Georgia Transportation Infrastructure Bank (GTIB) is accepting grant and loan funding applications from August 15 – October 15, 2019.
The GTIB is a competitive grant and low-interest loan program available to eligible government entities in Georgia. Since 2010, the program has provided over $125 million for transportation projects. The GTIB program is pleased to announce additional funding of up to $25 million for 2019! All Georgia counties, cities, CIDs, and Regional Commissions are eligible and encouraged to apply.
The GTIB program is administered by the Georgia State Road and Tollway Authority (SRTA). Applications will be accepted from August 15, 2019 through October 15, 2019 and must be submitted electronically to GTIBinfo@srta.ga.gov. Awards are expected to be announced by February 29, 2020.
All projects submitted must be motor fuel tax eligible (examples include improvements to public roads and bridges and associated bike, pedestrian, and traffic control infrastructure). Reimbursable expenses include preliminary engineering, right-of-way acquisition, and construction costs. The cost to apply for a grant or loan is only $250 per application and applicants may submit more than one application.
