MACORTS Public Information Meeting: Proposed TIP Amendment

Madison Athens-Clarke Oconee Regional Transportation Study (MACORTS), the cooperative transportation planning body for the urbanized area which includes Athens-Clarke County, portions of southern Madison County and northern Oconee County, has scheduled a public informational meeting to provide opportunity for the public to review and comment upon a proposed amendment to the FY 2018-2021 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) and the FY 2022-2023 Second Tier of Projects. This document outlines planned transportation improvements for the long and short term. This notice of public involvement activities and time established for public review and comment on the TIP will satisfy the Program of Projects (POP) requirements of the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) Section 5307 Program.

Public comment will be accepted August 27-September 9, 2019 concerning a revision in the schedule for the construction of the SR 10 Loop at Lexington Road Interchange. The project construction would be moved into FY 2020.

**The public information meeting will be drop-in with no formal presentation. Staff will be available to provide information and answer questions about this amendment at the meeting.
