An estimated 7.7% of Georgia households still remain uncounted<\/strong> (<a href=\"https:\/\/2020census.gov\/en\/response-rates\/nrfu.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">US Census Bureau<\/a>)<strong>.<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/my2020census.gov\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-52607 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/negrc.org\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2020\/09\/time-is-running-out-web-badges-300x250-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"250\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>So, what is at stake?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Money:<\/strong> <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">$1.5 trillion per year<\/span> in federal funding goes to Medicare, Medicaid, schools, roads, emergency response services, and other state and local programs and initiatives. Census demographic data also guides targeted funding and initiatives at the local level.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Political Representation:<\/strong> Over the next 10 years, 2020 Census data will determine States&#8217; Congressional seats and Electoral College votes, and will guide redrawing of voting districts, among other political implications.<\/p>\n<p>It is essential local communities help make the final push toward a complete count. Resources are available through your local Census representatives, as well as the <a href=\"https:\/\/census.georgia.gov\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">State Complete Count Committee<\/a>.
