The tourism industry drives business growth in Georgia through the promotion of unique and community-based experiences.<\/p>\n<p>Despite the prominent role of tourism in the state\u2019s economy, marketing local tourist attractions can present challenges to small governments due to staff-time and cost restraints. This guide introduces available services, support, and low-cost methods for tourism promotion in local communities. The <a href=\"https:\/\/negrc.org\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2020\/07\/Tourism_Marketing_and_Promotion_2020_s.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Tourism Marketing and Promotion Guide<\/a> also identifies key considerations for county and municipal governments in prioritizing local tourism initiatives or efforts.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/negrc.org\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2019\/05\/NEGRC-RegionalPlanUpdate_s.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Northeast Georgia Regional Plan (2018) Work Program<\/a> identifies a regional need to improve tourism promotion and marketing within Northeast Georgia.
