The Georgia Tech Economic Development Agency (EDA) University Center (UC) is currently accepting applications from communities that need assistance in identifying, defining, and supporting their workforce talent, including the creation of skill development and workforce training programs, professional and leadership development, and core business training, with the goal of helping communities recover from the economic impacts of coronavirus.

The Georgia Tech EDA UC proposes to offer services that couple a data and training-driven approach with comprehensive stakeholder engagement to build local capacity and resilient communities. The Georgia Tech EDA UC will analyze the community’s workforce system with a focus on how supply is meeting demand, and profile the labor pool from the regional perspective of existing and future employers. Leveraging real-time job postings data, Georgia Tech EDA UC can help community(ies) better understand the emerging talent needs within various industries. Turning research in to action, the Georgia Tech EDA UC will develop recommendations to direct future workforce development efforts that help communities navigate the changes to their employment and occupation environments.
