Northeast Georgia Regional Commission Awarded GMA Life & Health Insurance Fund\u2019s Health Wellness Grant<\/strong><\/h5>\n

[ATHENS, GEORGIA] \u2013 We are excited to announce that the Northeast Georgia Regional Commission has been awarded one of the 2025 Health Wellness Grants by the Georgia Municipal Association (GMA). The grant supports the organization\u2019s commitment to facilitating positive change in the workplace culture and going the extra mile for employees\u2019 health wellness.<\/p>\n

GMA is honored to collaborate with the Northeast Georgia Regional Commission at every step of the health wellness journey. Awards are made statewide to Participating Employers enrolled in one or more medical plans through the GMEBS (Georgia Municipal Employees Benefit Services) Life and Health Insurance Fund.<\/p>\n

The Health Wellness Program at GMA helps members embrace a variety of skills, mindsets, and cultures to encourage utmost wellbeing through workplace health wellness initiatives. These initiatives have a demonstrated track record of improving employee wellbeing and quality of life, while reducing medical claims and improving workplace morale.<\/p>\n

The Northeast Georgia Regional Commission has designated two Health Wellness Champions to coordinate\/oversee the program and work in partnership with GMA to facilitate the planning of targeted activities. Amber Bailey and Sophia Primer have expounded on ways the Northeast Georgia Regional Commission would benefit from implementing workplace health wellness initiatives and have said, \u201cWe are thrilled to be awarded this grant and are excited for the opportunity\u201d.<\/p>\n
