Northeast Georgia DRAFT Regional Plan Update 2018

The Regional Commission is currently in the process of updating the Regional Plan. The Regional Plan is the 12-County area’s long-range plan for the future of the region. The updated plan will establish a vision for the region, and provide a framework for addressing not only land use and transportation needs but also natural resources, economic development, housing, and human services.

Under DCA’s newly adopted Regional Planning Rules the Regional Plan will be developed as a single cohesive document that describes a regional vision, identifies regional goals, lists the needs and opportunities, and provides an implementation program for advancing the region towards achieving its vision.
